Its time for more power need advise on NOS kit you guys are running. And no I am not a true lightning but getting pretty close except for the additional two doors for the kids and the larger tires for playing in the sand dunes. Thanks for any input.

I am using the Compucar system and it is adjustable from 50-150 shot and installs in like 10 minutes... I have mine hidden so it took about 20 minutes to install but no one without help has been able to find the nos hookups. It's a really cool kit because if you take to the dealer it takes 5-10 minutes to uninstall and then once you've gotten it back another 10 minutes to install... Also good for street races when someone wants your hood raise to check for blower, nos or turbo... No relays under the hood and the line for the nos kit is run using oem like materials...

Later, Justin

Justin:

Please tell him you were joking about 20 minutes...

It took me longer than that to mount the bottle.

If I'm mistaken, I'd love to know the details.

Is that a wet or dry system? Where is the bottle mounted?

99BLKBOLT- 20 Minutes... Yeah Right!!! It took me and my cousin 8-10 hours to install my nitrous system and it's a Dry kit.

Bubba- The install is not difficult but the wiring is what takes so long. Also I made sure not to drill in anyything that wasn't rubber just in case I have to take it back to the dealer for service!

He may be talking about the "Nitrous in a bag" kit. It does take not time to install at all. I put it on a friend 92 Z28. He ran a 14.7 stock and a 13.2 after the install. This was with 8 12" subs in the back.

It is a bag kit and all wiring is already done and all you have to do is run the line from the bottle to the intake and plug it into the cigarette lighter... Stuff some dirty clothes in it and noone wants to look in the bag... My buddy installed his for WFC4 and was the fastest L qualifier in the power surge street lightning class with a 12.53 w/ only the nos(75 shot) and chip and filter... The kit works on anything fuel injected and is the only kit i have ever seen with a full 10lb bottle... If anyone is interested let me know and i'll get you the #...

Bubba - let me know if you try the NOS in a bag - I am also interested in NOS but besides warranty issues it is illegal in CA for street use - so I need something easy to disconnect for smog check and hidden from CHP view --

Here is the info to Compucar:

Compucar NOS
614 Atomic Road
North Augusta, SC 29841
(803)442-9206

Ask them about the bag kit they had a World Ford Challenge and see if they will give you any kind of deal... If they will the price is cheap already but if they don't just know that the service far exceeds the price of the kit... Kind of like Sal at PSP or Johnny at JL Performance... Also like I said in the beginning, the kit installs in 10-20 minutes depending on how much you want hidden... I have mine pretty well hidden and the connection for it is in the glove box so whenever I need NOS I just bring the kit and tools to hook it up and I have NOS in just a minute... Also for warranty work at dealer the kit can be left in but can be removed just as quick... The system is I believe from 25-100 shot...

How does this system compare to the ZEX system? It sounds like it is very similar?
