A must for all racers!!!!

especially for totaled...LOL!!! He knows what I'm talkin' about and everybody at FFW in Richmond. Its a "Instant Power" jump starter and DC power supply. I am just excited about it, I can't wait to jump the Honda, it is dead outside, I left the lights on The only problem is you have to wait for the initial charge before you can use it, and it has been charging for like three hours now. I hate using the L for jumps because I think it might hurt the PCM, correct me if I'm wrong. I know, this thread is kinda dumb, but I think this thing is the best thing since sliced bread.

It looks like it would be great for running a electric fan while cooling down, and to keep the battery fully charged between runs too.

Thats a good idea, never thought of that!!! The only problem is that this thing takes forever to charge, it has been charging on its initial charge of over six hours now. It says when the green light is on, its charged, still no green light

That really is a good idea... never thought of it either... They are nice to have to begin with, but that makes it just a little bit worth more...

Power source at the strip?

Forgive my ignorance----what is the power source for this device? I'm looking for a way to provide 120v.a.c. for my air compressor to be able to pump up my M/Ts after dragging. I drive to and from the track on them.

The easiest way to have air at the track is to buy a can at Walmart for less than $30.00. It will give you enough air to adjust your tires and fill them up after your done and its much faster than one of those little compressors. It of course does need to be filled from an air compressor which is a problem unless you have one in the garage like I do.

noelvm is right about that, but if you want of these to run 120 AC you have to get and inverter. Not to expensive.

The power packs are awesome. I even run my little 300 watt inverter off of it sometimes (when the electric goes off). I mainly use mine for for recharging my laptop batteries when the power is off for a long time (rural indiana, and it goes off whenever the wind blows any harder than about 5 mph ). My power pack also takes a while to charge, and I just usually leave it on the charger all night, and usually it is fully charged in the morning.

Later,
Roger

you guys that were at VMP last weekend may remember i borrowed a little quiet honda generator to run my fan that i use at work to cool cars down under the hood. I think it works a lot better than ice that just sits on top of the plenum.
