bad 5.4 block casting
B.O.N. has a post about 4.6 & 5.4 blocks being improperly cast causing oil burning in the engines. Also problems with the #2 cylinder bore.
This could have some relationship to the posts on here about oil burning and smoke and possible discoloration of the #2 spark plug, when the others seem the proper color.
