Hi,

I would like put a electric fan and Cobra-R water pump on my 01 but want to save some money.

Does anyone know who makes the electric fan that JDM use's and all the parts required to do it myself? 495.00 seems like a bunch of money for a Electric fan?? Also, he doesn't send all the parts you need in the kit, he gives you a list of other parts you have to get to finish it. Does JDM use the Electric Fan from the Cobra-R for his electric fan kit ???

I have noticed a lot of the tuners are using Ford Racing parts that we could buy ourselves a lot cheaper..I don't mind them making a little money, but some of the parts are marked up way to high...

There is more to consider in the cost of a specialty "mod" part than the price. Much more goes into a custom application than a bunch of part numbers. R&D for one can be very expensive. Prototype parts are big money.

More than meets the eye. May want to re-thing the value before accusing someone of price gouging.

 

Amen on the price of R&D. I guess some people should just work for free! LOL

 

I don't mind paying for R&D....But how is it R&D when you sell a Ford part I can get at my local dealer for double the price...

I have ordered several parts from him and I like them...This was just my .02 cents about the tuners that charge double for Ford parts...JL has great prices on his stuff...

Didn't know the dealer sold Lightning electric fans. Would love to have the P/N's.

 

I'll have to charge you for R&D on those P/N's...
