Talking New Best for "Full Trim" club

Everyone,

Today at VMP I got 1 run it...But it was a good one. Weather was 75 degrees, 45% humidity and barometer was around 13.1x. 93 Octane, here are the results:

R/T: .664
60': 1.789
330: 5.187
1/8: 8.016
1/8 MPH: 86.47
1000: 10.485
1/4: 12.581
1/4 MPH: 107.38

Again, this was WITH the pro-sport lid on, all seats in the cab and tailgate.....

I am quite pleased with the results.

Thanks to everyone who helped and thanks for JDM for working with me on the "Full Trim" Chip........

later

Congradulations again Brian on your record run!!!! I hope hagerstown has more to offer for me(traction). I told Julie that I will try to make it up to their shop sometime in early September for some go-fast goodies and hopefully in the get into those illusive 12s

Cool

Great run Brian. I've got all the Lightning runs edited into mpegs and I'll upload them tomorrow to my website and everybody can download their runs.

Brian,

What can I say, I guess between you, Jim at JDM, and Sixpipes I am beginning to have some thoughts about what is truly the quickest color ..

Hey, what would you think about Renting the Virginia Motorsport Park for a day for Just Lightnings, Maybe we could get the Delaware Valley club, some people from North Carolina, Maybe even New Jersey and Penn. and have just a Lightning Day.

Maybe we could even have two brackets, one for guys, and one for gals (as Julie KNOWS) with the winner of both brackets meeting for grand champion -- let our supporters have a chance to go down the track --- what do you think

Brain,
Great job!!! Awesome run You made your one and only run count in a big way Thanks for the great food last night !!

4DTHNDR,
Congrats to you on your best run also!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ivanhoe, today was definitely black's day! Jim ran a 12.42 @ 109.66 with a bad 60ft. Of course his 60 was great compared to my little adventure I like the idea of renting VMP for day!!!

Sounds like you guys just keep getting faster and faster!! Wish I could be there and enjoy the fun. There are no drag tracks over here in Germany but we do have the autobahn!!! I got the L up to 130 mph yesterday and she was only at 4200 rpm before the wife's screaming made me shut her down. Maybe next weekend I will take her out all by myself and see what she does.

Enjoyed meeting everyone at VMP. Nice facility for racing even though I had hooking problems with the left lane on my two runs. Congratulations on those who were able to to get new best times in. Amazing what these motors can do with all this weight. I personally had not seen so may F-bodies running in one place before, now I see why the L's are kicking their butts so bad.

Brian:

I ran my 'best' so far Fri. pm. 81F, 30.15bp, d/k humidity. It was my forth pass on my new M/Ts. All 5 passes I made that nite were better than my previous 'best'--had to be the tires!

Silver Dollar Raceway:

r/t...........0.770(yikes!)
60'..........1.986
1/8.........8.481
mph.....84.02
1/4......13.176
mph...104.510

My 'worst' that nite was a 13.415.

I hope to 'join' you in the 12s--nice work!

Dan

JagcLightning,

Must be nice. We get ticketed for that kind of stuff in the US. The company I work for has a few plants in Germany and I hear a lot about driving on the autobahn...maybe someday.

I ran a 12.48@ 108mph on the brakes, trying not to brake out but I did, this weekend at the NMRA. Truck weighed in at 4705 pounds. this is what is done to my truck.
JL chip for NOS
JL powercooler
90mm mass air
100 shot of NOS
flowmasters
ET Streets.

Stock TB
stock Converter
Stock manifolds.

Have a pulley on order. I could have gone faster but at the High RPMs I started to lose fuel pressure so my NOS safty switch was cutting the NOS out. That is a safe mod to have. I am going to have to find some bigger fuel pumps.
