Yeah that hood looks great I got that same hood on my 00 Black. Except I got the supercharged tags on the sides of the cowl looks sweet. I gotta take some pics then ill post just waiting for my 2001 grills to put on should have them by the 31 st.

The hoods are made out of fiber glass and are alot more heavy then the stock aluiminum ones. You can feel the weight differnece when you open them the stock one I could open with like one finger but I dont think the weight will affect the ET's any

The cowl is a 3 inch hood its worth it and in the cowl it has vents that are functional. Im pretty sure that they dont do anything to draw air in but I do believe that they do help to draw some of the hot air out of the engine compartment.

Cervini Cowl hood...

Autothrottle,

Nice hood! That sure does give the aggressive look I was wanting. My Cervini cowl hood is in the body shop being painted right now, too. I can't wait to see how it looks on silver.
BTW, did you have a problem hooking up the washer fluid deals? My body shop said that they wouldn't do it because of drilling holes and no existing provisions on the hood for this? Does that sound funny to you? I would like to hook it up, just wanted to hear your experience. Thanks.

Hi BoltAction
My Cervini's Cowl hood came with the hardware to modify where the washer fluid comes out so when my body shop put it on i just gave him the hardware and he did it all for me I really dont know why your body shop wont do this for you. Im pretty sure that they dont have to drill any holes through the hood because my washer fluid things come out like under the cowl so im really not sure why they wont do this for you.

BoltAction,
I have'nt hooked the washers up yet. I am going to do it either today or this weekend. From what I understood, you dont have to drill any holes. I'll let you know after I install them.

CBQB3,
I live in Arlington

SVTDAVE,
I got the pod though Jegs. I have the 2-5/8" part # 105-15305

Road Rash,
The hood was $439.00 through Cervini's, then $80 for shipping. Here is their website:

BoltAction: Any chance I can get you to show off your new hood once you get it back by posting some pics for your fellow silver L owners to drool over and get hood envy as a result of? Please? Thanks.

Autothrottle,
Thanks! I will be looking forward to hearing how it goes. I may just do the washer lines myself once I get back from the body shop. When I purchased my lightning here in San Diego, my wife found a scratch on the front bumper(underside), so I made them agree to paint it. The body shop that does their paint work is painting my hood as a side job, since they will already have the paint matched.

MXRacer,
Yes, I will try to get some pics posted, but I am new at this computer stuff. I have a digital camera-will that work? I am also in the process of lowering the L with the Hotchkis kit very soon and installing the Trenz billet grills.

I get my Hotchkis kit next week

Ya the digital camera will work just fine. If you have problems you can e-mail me the pics and I will post them for you.

I would really like to see pics of the grill once you get it installed.
I had the street scene grill in my 00' But I dont know which one to go with this time.

I think that hood is beautiful and I've liked it since I saw a pic of Christy Ann's. I also think it has the most dramatic effect on a white L. Good purchase.

Hey, did it arrive undamaged? I've read post after post in the last year about hoods being dropped off broken or badly scratched.

The hood was undamaged. I read the same posts about the hoods being damaged. Thats why I opened it up before the delivery guy could leave.

Thx alot
The place I took it to was Archer Collision in Duncanville.

BoltAction
I did the install today in about 20 mins. Very easy

I dont want to drill any holes so I'm going to have to figure out how to secure the hoses a little better. If anyone has some ideas plz let me know.

Here are some pics of the install:

This is the squirter

Squirter secured to the hood

hoses hooked to the squirters

Its hard to see the squirters with the hood closed
