Yesterday, a lowered red shortbed stepside truck pulled on the freeway. Not only did it catch my attention, but also my wife's. She said "That's not a Lightning or is it?"

My answer "No. It's a Chevy with an SVT badge on the tailgate."

Funny how it's a compliment and an insult at the same time.

Last week i was at the ford garage and one of the techs had a 150 4x4 with SVT and lightning badges on it . i figured working for ford he would know better.what are these people thinking??

 

Yesterday I saw a blue Escort trimmed with yellow all over it. Any way it was riced out. It had incorrect ZX2 badging on it plus SVT badging.

 

When I was at the Fun Ford Weekend at Richmond I saw these "Supercharged" aftermarket badges and I had to have them. There goes that sleeper image I liked so much.

 

There's a ying yang in my neighborhood that drives around in a white 2000 Expedition, slammed to the ground, Lightning front bumper cover and all the Expedition badges removed in favor of Lightning and SVT badges.

Everytime he sees me on the road, I think he gives himself whiplash from whipping his head around to catch a REAL Lightning.

What's this guy thinking? *MAYBE* if he dropped the 5.4L Lightning engine in there would I LET him run around with an SVT badge...

Where did you get the supercharged badges?

 

I got them at the FFW in Richmond, some vendors were selling all kinds of badges, including SVT and Lightning badges.

 

Looks like they're from a Buick Regal GS or Pontiac SST.
My 2 cents....leave it alone, it has nice sleeper look to it stock.
If your gonna put crap all over it make sure you put some yellow stickers on too.

 

They sell Pontiac supercharged emblems, which are a little large. Go to http://qualitymustangparts.com for better looking smaller ones.

Those Supercharged badges are GM parts that go on the Park Avenue Ultra on the right side of the lip on the decklid. For the last year, untill 3 weeks ago my job was installing the emblems at the plant where I work, I've installed thousands of them.

 

The Ford one looks just like the one that 2_FAST4U put on his truck. Here is the one from the Mustang site
and here is the one on 2_AST4U's truck

Maybe the GM and Ford emblems are identical.

 

What's funny is that they look 100% like the GM badges found on the late model Regal GS. =)

I have two sitting right here in front of me. I was going to put them on my Blown '96 Trans Am but never got around to it.
