Thinking about buying this Lightning

Hi, I'm thinking about buying this truck. Anything I need to look for when I go? Anybody see anything that says don't bother? Thanks for any help.

What all is modded on it? I see the air filter. I want one that's as close to stock as possible. And there aren't a lot to choose from in the Pacific NW, looked at trucks further away but with shipping or flying/driving/time off the price difference doesn't change much.

I would run the vin and see where it has been registered at. Crawl under it look for rust starting on the underside, that would be a sign it's a northern truck driven in the salt or if it was near the ocean. Looks like it's a dealer, either it was a local trade in or they bought it at auction.

The site has a link to the carfax, it was SoCal then Nevada and Idaho, I see some rust on one of the tire pictures. I know if there is a ton of rust under it to just leave, but otherwise I'm thinking it looks ok, not sure until I actually see it in person.

did you somehow miss that awful filler door???

the rear end has been lowered, I'd bet money the pinion angle is wrong

it also appears to have a single blade throttle body

and it also appears very rusty underneath

LOL since they want to call it a f150 heritage, you should offer the value that a heritage is worth.

Thanks guys, but I picked this up today. 01, 53k miles, and cost me less than that other one. Pretty much stock except for lowered and the wheels. Took it for a test drive last week and the girlfried was hooked, made it real easy to talk her into it.

Congrats. That's a nice looking truck. Personally, I like the SVT wheels better, but I really love the red lightning's. I may be buying one later today.
