Just thought I would try the file attachment feature of this new software. If it works its way better than trying to import pics from Zing, etc. Worth the slow downloads. Reason for pic? Spun a rod bearing in the #5 cylinder. Goes well with the leaky intercooler and flaking supercharger vanes. Will be getting new motor.

 

I am sure glad that Ford did not try and jerk you around on the bad motor. This gives me at least some degree of confidence that Ford will stand behind their product.

 

Are the 5.4 engines a 6-bolt main? I see 2 on each side going bolting down(4) plus one on each side(6) like a 4.6 cobra engine. Im asking because I thought are engines were only a 4-bolt main. I know the sohc 4.6 is only a 4-bolt.

 

You mean you were right? That it's really not supposed to sound like that? And I thought the dealer service people new everything. Glad to hear you get the new motor.
