Hello everyone,

Boy I am gonna be puttin' the miles on the L this week!!! I am driving all the way to my parents house so the L can get a good wash and wax job(I live in an apartment:o ) I then have to come back home (162 miles one way) and get ready for Saturday and then drive to the rest stop and then to the track. I bet I'll hit 10,000 miles after this weekend!!! I hope that I can race because I am kinda worried about this little ticking sound coming from the engine and I am gonna have Jim(JDM) take a look and tell me what he thinks. I don't think it is anything big, I just want a second opinion or a diagnoses for the problem before I take the chip out and off to the dealership were they will most likely tell me I need a new engine instead of trying to find the problem. I hope that is not the case!! How many people are we expecting to be at the rest stop????

You gotta cut down those miles......

I expect that we will see about 8 people at the rest stop (Maybe more if we look behind the bushes{think something about Mary} LOL)

Anyway, to me that ticking sounds like an exhaust leak. The best way to check is just use a piece of 5/8" heater hose. One end to your ear and just hold the other end around the exhaust manifolds and pipe joints....

It would definitely be coming from the passenger side....

Also, as I mentioned about the hood..Its those appearance mods that get you tickets NOT the performance ones...LOL....

Hey Brian and everyone, The truck is CLEAN!!!!! Took me forever but its there. I talked with a friend of mine yesterday who is knowledgeable about cars and he said it kinds sounds like an injector. He may be right!! I tested the performance today and gave it hell at a stop light and she is running great!!! So, I will see everyone Sat. morning.

 

I called UPS this morning and the ET streets are on the truck for delivery. I'll drop them off at Tread quarters for a mount and balance this afternoon. Many thanks to Julie and JDM for expiditing my new Flip Chip and 16 x 10s for the ETs. Thanks to that guy on Ebay with the 30lb boosted Supra (720 at rear wheels claimed???) for selling me brand new 26 x 11.5 x 16 ETs for 125 each and sending them second day air for 25 bucks so I can have them for Saturday.

The high is supposed to be 75 tomorrow at VMP with no chance of rain.. We should have really good air and times.:D

What's everyone doing??? Just test and tune or running for the purse too. Let me know..
