LightninRod: i have a 99 the best so far is 12.06@112 All Throttle No Bottle! I do have a 2001 mass air meter does that count? LOL! i'm just comming out with a New 2001 program i have a few 01's running 12.80's with just a pulley my ram air and my chip..ive changed alot of shifting characteristics and overall performance. i know when these guys put in the converter i'm selling they'll go 12.5's i'm sure in the summer heat. and low 12's this fall. it was 90* a few weeks back and i went 12.40@109.8 at full weight and plus my 130# deck lid! things are looking great for us Lightning owners! were really getting these trucks to fly with very little $

Well best here is 12.72 @106.16 not the fastest, but oh so consistent.I think 12.40-12.60 is realistic in good air. Here in the midwest we have 85 degrees and 85% humidity,I'm very satisfied with the times I'm running.I DO have to say the speed doesn't come cheap, mods to run that time are about 10k.You can make a stripped truck go fast pretty easy, but a full boat take some money and mods,I think those of us at WFC4 saw what it take and who was putting the numbers up.You can't compare the numbers unless your racing in the same air. I know out of 48 or so L's there I was #10 qualifier, with a 13.00 so take it from there.I think JL had a 12.65,could be off by a bit but not much.So it all boils down to how fast ya wanna run and how thick the wallet is,JMHO.

Fritz:
It's the AIR, the AIR, and the AIR. This includes temperature, humidity, altitude, barometric pressure, and even oxygen content (percentage). Also, wind direction and velocity. With my bone-stock 2000, I've posted runs anywhere between 13.78 (decent, but not great air) and 14.42 (terrible air). There you have it.
Oh, and let's not forget the other factor - THE DRIVER.
Oh, and also TRACK PREP.
Oh, and also vehicle condition, mileage, and prep (tire pressures, mirrors folded in, fuel load, A/C off...).
Probably others, but that's what comes immediately to mind.
If you have a slow one, you likely went to the track on a hot, humid day, can't drive, had a full tank of crappy gas, a fried coil pack, and a leaky driver's front tire.
If you have a fast one, you were likely blessed with ****-retentive vehicle care tendencies, an unexpected cold front (and decent tailwind), were running on fumes, and your tack happened to be located 1800 feet underground in an abandoned gold mine shaft.
You get the idea.

Johnny Lightning,
E-mail me a way to check out some fo your goodies!! I ran the '01 in terrible conditions (100* heat, over 70% humidity) and got really crappy times! I know all of the factors involved, so I want to come back with a vengeance in the fall. If you have a web site, let me know so I can see what you've got and what it'll run me.
Thanks.

I have a '00, my best time is a 13.41@102.59 and worst time was a 14.76 and that was because I got crappy traction a spun for 1/8. I am going to be adding a JDM Lower Pulley and ET Streets and hope to be in the high 12's.
