Latest SVT update

According to Jason (1-800-ford-svt. who we've ALL spoken too), the engineering is done and FORD PARTS has not released the product yet..? The SVT L team leader is supposedly trying to get them to expedite (was supposed to be released April), but they have not even assigned it a part # yet.
HEY FORD - This is why your getting your A$$ handed to you in Formula 1, CART, and NASCAR every week. Your left hand doesen't know what your right hand is doing. By the time you reply, your competition has moved on. YOUR BUREAUCRACY IS MAKING YOU SLOW AND UNCOMPETITIVE

By the way, if Jason @ SVT reads this forum. Thank you for putting up with all of us. We all take it out on you because you answer the phone every time I call. We are just venting our frustration and unfortunately it gets vented in your direction. Shoot the messenger you know.

Wink

Ford has code named this intercooler fiasco the "lime visitor", it's a "periodic" occurance in 99-00's. the fix will be released as soon as someone can come up with a name that will glorify Ford for their committment to their customers. So lets give them some ideas:

my vote: Mr Edsel's Enema

Next time I call SVT they'll tell me "The boat that was carrying all the I/C's broke down in the middle of the Dead Sea and we are waiting for them to first fix the boat and then we will finally have the product."
A... ya... er...right
Supposedly ALL L owners (99,00) will be elidgable(sp) FOR THE "FIX" - FREE, if you call driving around in a vehicle that may blow a spark plug at any time or start rod knocking (ala Alphadoggy's L free)!!!
The code name is.... Diaper. Here is a picture of FORD's Head of Engineering that is responsible for fixing our L's I/C.

Thumbs down

Its absolutley ridiculous...its a PR embarrassment for Ford...SVT is supposed to be an enthusiasts product with proper support...I don't call a lack of response acceptable corporate behavior.....is that not Colletti up top there???

The whole inter-cooler situation would have not been so bad if SVT would have not lied to all it's customers. When the problem first was exposed, SVT personally told me that less than 1% of the inter-coolers were leaking. I was like hell their is more than 1% of the L's with leaking inter-coolers that post on F150 online. The one thing that I hate the most is simply being lied to after I spent 31K on a truck that has an inter-cooler that I know will leak sooner or later.

Before I would have been happy if they just released the new part but now the more I think about it, I am not so sure that I am going to be happy letting my local dealer tear apart the top of my motor!! SVT you got my money this time but I wouldn't count on it next time!!

It also would be nice if SVT would post some factual data here for all to see!
