Thumbs up Killed 2 GTs at one time

I was running errands this morning and just so happened to hit a red light with two late model (98 <) Mustang GT's. Well I wasn't really paying them any attention so the green light comes on and one of them jumps on it hard while the other just sort of looks over to see what's going on. We all hit the next red light so I knew one of them wanted to play. Light turns green, and I punch it, leaping out by two car lengths before hitting 50 and shutting down, while I get two flybys by some embarrassed kids.

They must have been stock because it wasn't even close. Don't these GT guys know what a Lightning is??? I have a hunch that most don't...

Good sport DB: There are quite a few of the GTs that show up at our local strip. They don't put up much of a fuss, do they?

Nope

Glad to see GA folks on the board. Make's me a bit homesick (most of my family is in GA), but I don't miss those humid hot summers...

Unhappy

Good kill.

Here most folks either know and don't want to play, or don't know and don't think it worth their while to race a truck. My only excitement for the weekend was when I was chased down by a lady (10 years my senior ! ) in a Lexus and told: "this is a very sharp looking truck!"

well, probably not. Even so, they will still want to race you.

ex: lets say you pull up to a viper, noone in front of you for miles, he looks over, grins & throws a few revs. Since its a viper you would most likely lose, but wouldnt you still race?!? I never pass up a good street race (as long as its safe). Espacially mustangs, they are fun to race!

Hehe you're right. I pulled up next to one of those new Diablo VT AWD rockets the other day, knowing I would get my a@# handed to me (he didn't want to play though...)
