325/50R20 Tires

Does anyone know whether or not 325/50R20 tires will fit on the REAR of the L after it has been lowered 2"? I am considering swapping my 295/45R20's and I want to make sure that there is enough width & height for the new tires.

Thanks,

Dave

That's a whole lot of tire to put on a rim that width. Do not know for sure if it will fit, but that wide of tire should be mounted on a 11"-12" wide rim. Sounds like a very tall tire setup.

Silver-Bolt-

According to Toyo's website, 325/50R20 tires are approved for 10" wide rims - which is what I have. I am just not sure if they will fit on a lowered L without hitting wheel wells....??????

check this out to determine the actual numbers involved:
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

According to this, the new tire will fill the wheelwells by 2.17" more than the stock F1. It will also be 1.18' wider, and you'll be back to approximately the stock ride height, but with fuller wheelwells.
