intercooler pump

I have a dumb Q!! I noticed on the thread about cooler boxes some of you said you turned on the intercooler pump. How do you do it and where is it??? Reason I ask is, I have a couple of ideas about boxes that don't require relocation of the battery.

The pump is just behind the radiator near the bottom. It's a cyclindrical in shape...can't miss it. I think all thats needed to run the pump at will is to run a switch to the engine bay or inside the truck.

Re: intercooler pump

You have to add it and wire it in. I havn't done it but I saw JL's L at the strip--it may be part of his Power Cooler kit?

Unhappy

Rumor has it that you can ground a orange/white stripe at the PCM and turn the key on and it will run. I ran a hot wire to it instead but in the process grounded it's hot source while engine was running(A/C circuits white is ground and D/C circuits black is ground, duh on me) costing me $30 in parts and $200 in Jethro hunting down the fried relays. So I rewired it with 2 ON-OFF-ON switches, one for the hot and one for the ground. Now the intercooler pump either gets its power from my source or the normal source and they never cross each other.
