I've seen the question asked if a few notes.... What's X-plan? It's essentially a discount on Ford vehicles for non-Ford employees. Any Ford employee can give away / use 4 per year. It's a good discount. Anyone need one? I've got 3 more to use for the year.

From what I've read in other notes, Lightnings go for around 28K.

 

Man, if BlotLightning is willing to give these up, jump on it fellas!!! Xplan on my L was 28,789.00. Great price if ya find a dealer willing to do it!!! Used Lightnings are selling for more than that!

Caledonian-Yes, I found "ONE" dealership in Texas to accept the x plan! It was North Central Ford in Richardson, Tx. 800-639-8367 The guy you need to talk to is David Wilmoth,Tell him Rodney sent ya! They do charge an additional 1,000 as an admin. fee to cover their SVT licensing for a total of 29,789.00. They had one black,one white,and one silver left and are getting two more in August. Hope this helps ya. Of course I got the fastest color,"Black"!!

What that dealer is doing is completely against Ford policy/rules. I got a 01 Cobra on an X plan deal and became friendly with the salesman. He told me if a dealer charges any fees they could have trouble with Ford. I think Ford compensates the dealer for honoring the discount and they in turn agree to abide by the rules.

blue blood-hmmmm, I didnt know that! Iwas just thrilled to be getting one less than sticker! In fact some of the dealers I talked to wanted 3,000 OVER sticker!!! WTF? Wonder if I could get my 1,000 back?! . I hate it when you think you got a really good deal then find out later you got raped!!!

47,000 USD? I'll sell mine, deliver it anywhere in the US, and include $10k for gas and upgrades. Actually, I'll most likely sell mine either this year or next Spring… and move into a new one….. although the only problem I've had in almost 9000 miles is a cracked fog light.

As for the X-plan,
PIN numbers last through the calendar year. Since I've had so many responses, I want to give them out to the people who are sure they want to buy something. If you're currently only looking, hold off until you're sure. I don't think it'll be a problem for me to get friends at work to sponsor someone. If you've got an existing order, call the dealer and see if they can rewrite the paperwork. If they want the sale, it shouldn't be a problem. Dealers around here seem to have them in every color.

Anyone from the Detroit area around? I try to go to Milan dragway for test and tune. Always looking for more company. I'm trying to get some people from work to go on Wednesday evenings.... most likely Mustangs.
