Lost Power @ 100-WHY?
Went out tonite to test the g-tech, JL chip, filter & 90mm. Temp was 60, humidity 80% and no wind. Had to drive ten miles out to get away from traffic, and didn't let it cool down any. First pass, I pretty much fried the tires but still got a 13.9 & 103. Not bad I thought for regular tire pressure and no technique. Second time I warmed up the tires a little, and let her rip. Felt great untill I hit a 100 then it really flattened out! Any input as to what happened. Didn't hear any pinging or miss, it just went flat! Afterwards it seemed to be fine.
I've run my JL 'street' chip twice at the strip and it was still pullin' strong at 102.54 at the end of the 1/4.
Tried JDM's 'race' chip this past Fr., and still pulled strong at 103.43.

I had this problem at one time

Hope that helps, I had a reburn done and it has been fine.
Timing is retarded by 2 degrees, to 8 degrees after the shift to third under certain conditions, with the chip ADDING a bunch of timiing, like another 15 degrees when the conditions are right, the timing is retarded TO 8 Degrees NOT BY 2 Degrees,( A bug).
Meaning you just pilled out about 15 degrees of timing, nose goes over and NO POWER.

Eric,
That makes sense, but why didn't it do it the first run ,where it was still pulling strong at 105. Put in JDM's chip today. Guess I'll go out and give it a try tonight.
Thanks-
Mark

Wheeee! New chip is nice, great shift points. No problems and pulling strong over 100.

Why Nose ovver happens
Sorry I cannot tell you why it only happens SOMETIMES, it has to be a combination of sensor input that calls a special subroutine from the pcm, like temp pressure knock or something.
I could NEVER pin it down to any condition, it just happened sometimes, and when I was running the chip it FELT much mre pronounced,(because of the extra timing).
Superchips reburned and it seems to have helped, have not had it happen again.
