Need some words of wisdom...
In an attempt to maximize resources and minimize frustration, what would be your suggestions for the new world order?
Performance/Appearance/Handling
In other words, if it all can't be purchased at the same time, what would be the most effecient order? i.e., does it make more sense to wait on the chip and get the pulley and maf done first, etc.
Would it be a waste to buy the Bell Tech 2" drop shackles and go for a complete Hotchkis(sp) lowering kit later?
Anyhoo, any words of wisdom from those in the know is appreciated.

Hey Lowner: Missed you last nite--hope your son is better?
I think everyone agrees that the chip is the 'key--the heart' of any or almost all external eng. mods. It's 'duty' is to mix-n-match everthing added to the stock engine. Therefore, you order your chip based on what you anticipate adding/doing to the eng.
It get's confusing (and expensive) as new mods are found or you change your mind on what you need. The chip will have to be reburned or a new one added(as I just did). Of course, if you are good at anticipating, you will save a lot of time, $, and frustration i. e.; you will never be 'fast enough'.
I think you're confused on one thing--the MAF. As far as I know, only the 99/00 Ls have a MAF concern--80mm vs. our 90mm. We already have the 'good' one.
Someone else will have to address the handling options.
Next week?

Hi Lightninrod,
Sorry I had to miss last night. Son is still in bed today.
I'm glad you cleared up the 80mm-90mm thing. I wasn't sure about that one. All this Gen1, Gen2, early Gen2, later Gen2 stuff is confusing.
I will try and get down there this Friday.

Battle Elephants is what another club dubbed our trucks. I like the name. I battle at the strip every week.
