PSP 4-way chip?

My PSP 4way chip is on the way and I had a question for you guys with one.

If you have one where did you mount the switch or did you put it somewhere?

I was thinking it would be really cool if I could mount it behind that little door where the cig lighter is. I have seen the pics of the switch that Spiro posted a while back and am not sure if it will fit.

Any thoughts as to where to put it.

Thanks
Paul

Paul,

I found the switch assembly to be too large to mount any place 'stealthy'. I just velcroed my switch to the side panel near the computer. It's not a real 'handy' location, but I rarely switch it anyway. Sorry I don't have a 'way-cool' location answer for 'ya.

Later,
Jake...

Open your glovebox door. To the right of the box is a space the perfect sizt for the switch unit. The 4-way switch is way too big for the lighter opening. I believe Spiro had the 2-way flip switch in there.

Is the 4-way switch a set of (2)3 way toggles? Curious how the switch works for this chip, as I am also considering ordering the 4-way from PSP.

Paul,
Thanks for the link! That is much better than what I imagined. Is this switch included in the price of the 4-way chip along with easy to follow installation instrutions?

Andy,
I have not recieved mine it just shipped out yesterday, but I am assuming that it is included in the price of the chip. I will let you know as soon as I get it maybe tommorow or thursday.

I am pretty sure as Spiro put that up because people were asking about what the switch looked like for the 4 way chip.

Switch and instructions included. They are very easy to install. Take your time and properly clean the goo off of the circuitboard. It is easiest to do this with the computer out of the truck. I opened mine up and removed the board and completely cleaned it. re-assembled and installed the chip. Added a couple of wraps of electrical tape all the way around the chip and computer then reinstalled. Have not missed a beat since installation.

Silver-Bolt,

Off the subject, but is your 12468 Magnaflow louder than the 12568 part#? How is it compared to stock sound?
BTW, thanks for the info on the chip! I'm at 450 miles so far on my '01 L, so I am gettin ready for the chip real soon.

Gotta stop first

Someone stated somewhere in some post that before flipping the switch you must first stop the pickup, turn off the ignition, and say "candyman" three times (well, maybe I made that last one up).

That so? I assumed you could just flip the switch whenever you damn well felt like it.

Sal had responded to a similar question earlier and he said that you could flip it anytime except at WOT.
