I plan on going Friday night for test and tune if the weather is good. Last year we had several Ls. I haven't heard too much about it this year.

I'll be there, but without the L. It gets kinda pricey when you have to sign up with all of these organizations plus hotel rooms. I think it sucks when you have to pay an extra $60 dollars when I can only make one of their races!Plus they still nail you for a big entry fee when the payout for our class sucks! .02 Josh
PS: I will be there for support.

I guess I didn't realize the extra fee for the membership. I just read it was $35 and I believe $60 for Car and driver.
How about for Friday? Is it a real T&T or do you need to have the membership for that too?

Acutally I'm not sure about the T&T on Friday now. Last year I showed up on Friday for FFW, paid $10, and ran as often as I could. I just called Norwalk and they said there was no T&T on this Friday. The lady I talked to wasn't 100% sure, so they are suppose to call me with the facts. If I have to pay something like $35 just to run Friday night, I won't bother going.

Hi L. Bob
The baby is doing GREAT! Thanks for asking! She is getting to be a handful now. I'm not sure about racing. I am hoping that Friday is T&T. Hopefully the lady will call TomG back.
We will prob. be there on Sat or Sun if there is no T&T. See you then!

My experience with the NMRA was that I had to pay a membership fee, entry fee, and a fee for Friday t&t. Grand total of $120 to race in the Nitto Tires Lightning Class, for one weekend. The membership fee is one time a year.
With Fun Ford, I found out that you have to sign up for membership(one time a year) and also have an entry fee and usually have to pay extra for t&t on Friday. Not sure of the prices, but they were close to that of the NMRA. This is to run in TopTruck Class. It may be cheaper to run in a regular bracket class, since you do not need a membership and the entry fee is less.
It sucks when the rest of the Mustang classes get paid 2-4 times more for a win when the entry fees are the same.
Lightning W=250
Modular Muscle=1000
Renegade=1250
All with $60 entry. Maybe my math is wrong!
They will not let us compete in the Mod motor class that has a final payout of 10G.
Please don't get the wrong impression, I love to race in these classes, but for the average guy it gets carried away! Josh

I'm hoping to make it on the way to my sisters place. Anyone know if JDM is going to be doing any chip re-burns for his customers while he's there; I need him to do mine. If he's going to do that, I will be there fo sho.

badbolt, Jim was at the FFW in Richmond and was installing chips and stuff and reburning chips, so I would expect him to be doing the same at norwalk.

They say "open time trials" on Friday 10-4 according to their web site. Is that t&t or something else?

Sorry, I don't know about the earlier part of the day. I called and asked them about T&T and they said none, that this is FF weekend and have to be part of it. He said they will have T&T on Friday July 20th.

Sat. is the only time we have open to go now. I am not sure how late they will run. We will be going to only watch and check things out. I am sure there will be a car show and vendors there too.
