Panhard Bar - Got Some Questions

My L is lowered two inches in the rear, will have bassani cat-back exhaust, has the PSP drive shaft loop...

Will the pan hardbar work with this set-up and if so...who sells it?

Thanks
Anthony

Anthony, a panhard bar is used to locate the rear axle housing on a coil spring application. I don't see it being any benefit for a leaf spring set up, but maybe some of the road race guys might have a different veiw.

Spike, is the panhard bar the same thing that the NASCAR guys call a track bar?

BTW, I really like the special stuff you have made and really enjoyed your videos

A panhard bar will work fine on your application. What it does is keep the rearend from moving side to side during cornering. "Ruslow" currently has a sweet setup for sale. It mounts off of the top bolts on the diff cover and also to the frame. The main application is on a 4-link coilover setup. However our trucks will benefit a great deal from a good setup such as Ruslow's. The rear end with leaf springs moves around a lot. If you are looking for traction help at the drag strip this is not the answer. If you are looking to tame the tail happy L in the curves this will help bunches.

Thanks regarding the videos! But the special stuff is Ruslow's - I'm just the benefactor. You could call him BaBolt of road racing hardware!

George

BTW, what Silver-Bolt said...

Thumbs up

The sliders that I made or should I say make can benefit the drag Lightning to, since what you want is MAX weight transfer to the rear end.Think of it this way when that bolt that goes through your shackle is tight it has to twist the rubber to get the spring to move in either up or down, but it you put it on a slider, it just slides down a little with almost no resistance. So if you combine that with soft shocks, what happens to the rear and to your rear wheel weight? It goes up.Better traction!!!Stan
