Hey for you that have the Johnny Lightning Ram Air Kit, how often do you clean your air filter. I have a Jet air filter that is in the stock are box, and man after a month is it getting full of bugs and nats and black road grime... I am wondering if I should clean it yet? Or should I give it a few more miles....?

 

I don't mean to sound like a smart *** here but clean it as often as you want to. Can't hurt it. If it looks dirty it probally is.

 

I agree...if you've gone through the trouble to get to your air filter to see if it is dirty, then at least just pull it out and clean it. If you see something on the filter that shouldn't be there, then remove it (e.g. bugs, leaves, dirt, etc.). Waiting until it gets more dirt and junk on it is pointless.

 

Depends on how often you drive your truck. I have driven my Lightning TWICE in eight days! And don't see a chance, till next saturday.
