Smile VMP Results....

Everyone,

It was a decent day at VMP. We had 7 L's come out....Totaled, JJWhiteLightning,Twiztid,Thunderstruck,2_FAST4U,Un dy and me....

The weather was 90 degrees, barometer 30.1 and 27% humidity..

I think everyone got some new bests.......

I think we also got some cool photos that everyone will be posting later....

Bettina got a good video of a nice wheelie for a camaro...

I had a great time and it was great to meet the other L owners.

Totaled...I will get you next time!!! Mine is Bigger But yours is longer

I hope to see everyone on the 28th at the same time, same place...

For those coming from the north, we can meet at the same rest stop at the same time.....

Later

I had a BLAST today(except for the second sunburn I recieved)!!! I did a all new best time of 13.415@102.59 and I owe it all to Jim and Julie at JDM. I was glad to see everyone again and hope to see you all the 28th.

It figured that about two miles down the road I remembered something I could have done to improve my times. I did not flip the chip to the strip side I could of gained a tenth or two.

Twisted, I hope by the 28th you get those mods----wife permitting of course!!! Totaled, you would have been in the 12.40s if you removed the bed and front clip....LOLOLOL!!! Well, my face is kinda flamin' right now, its screaming for some aloe vera!!!! Talk to everyone later.

I had a great time. I didn't quite get the 13.8 I was expecting but hey, the 28th is coming and hopefully it won't be 93-99 Degrees out. I will post the pics I have up on my site. Email me to get the link to check them out once I get them loaded up later today. It was great to meet all of you and me and the wife had a blast.

I'll see you guys later, I'm burnt to a crisp on my face and neck.

I also need to wash the rubber off of my vehicle and tires.

It was great meeting all you guys.... It's great to be able to put faces with names.

I thought I was doing good knocking down a 13.28 in "full stock" trim, with lid and F1s.......then my son comes along after me and punched out a 13.190 @ 104.55. To make matters worse it was the very first time he ever drag raced. He's about 50 lbs lighter....that must be the reason Al in all I'm kinda pleased...

A big hearty thanks to Totaled. he kindly letting me borrow my chip along with providing several "chip change outs" due to my injured hand.. All you guys are "top notch" in my book.

It was awesome meeting all of you and finally got into the lower half of 13's. All that spells an excellent day in my book.

I went 13.40 (with the JDM chip) with the truck pinging and a 1.97 60', so i know i can do alot better.

Me and JJ still had some fun on the way home, we both had some R/T as a snack. Dude I gotta see that picture you took of my truck thru your mirror.

Totaled: Thanks alot for making me think I HAVE to spend another grand on a stall converter

Thanks again guys and I'll be there on the 28th with some new toys

I for one had a great time. Meeting everyone and getting My L down the track for the first time was the best. I got 7 runs in and the best was 13.23 @104, which I am very happy with considing I only have a JDM chip and a K&N drop in...In the heat of the day with only about 30-45 mins between runs I was in the 13.30's for 4 runs in a row.. from 13.31 to 13.33...... sounds like a Bracket truck to me.........

Hey Nuno, I will post a link to my VMP album later today, I tried to send you just a jpeg, but dont know your email.......Had alot of fun tag teaming that R/T. I dont think she knew what hit her....but you missed out on a little more fun just after you took your exit, I snacked on a conv vette too..some older gentleman wanted to see how he could do so I let her loose on him, he was cool about it because after I slowed down and he passed me, he gave me the thumbs up....

Thanks Totaled,,, you got mail........

Let me sum up the day from my observations..

We raced our fast trucks, snacked on some rice, got sunburnt, and met some new friends.. not a bad way to spend your saturday......... do I still win the long distance award???
See you all on the 28th.. I will be shooting for 12's... JJ

Hey guys !! Had a blast yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brain – size does matter – just not sure which counts the most bigger or longer

2_fast4u – Congrats on you first venture into the 13’s!!!!!! I’m sure 12’s are in you future very soon!! I will bring the sawzall next time and show’em what real weight reduction is!!

Twiztid – Great meeting you and Sandra – if there had been traction you would have made the 13’s but now when you start adding the mods you will see BIG gains. I'll cruise over to your board in a little while.

Undy – Great meeting you – no problem with the chip – always glad to help if I can!
Now you need to fatten your son up so he will never repeat that stunt again!! J/k
Hope your hand heals soon I know that has to be painful with 40 stitches!!

Thunderstuck – Great meeting you and thanks for the push! Man you will love that converter it will make your truck launch incredible unless you run in to horrible track condition like we had yesterday afternoon.

JJ – Great meeting you and thanks for crawling under my truck and helping with the track drying efforts – it’s a shame everyone knows my secret now Were those some hot *** lug nuts or what!!! I got the pics – thanks man!!!!

Cindy & Bettina - THANK YOU ladies for all you always do to help make our get- togethers much better – we couldn’t do it without ya!!!!!! (well not as good)j/k

Damn – that almost sounds like one of those nascar drivers climbing from there cars thanking all there sponors and crew!!

I ran a personal best:12.53 @ 107.93 1.77 60’ and a 7.97 1/8 @ 86.05 these times were ran at 97 degrees air temp 27% humidity and a 30.15 barometer in full trim!!!!!!! Thank you JDM for making this possible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
