'00BlackLightning........I have a question
I noticed that you have the Kicker R6C speakers. I was considering these also for my black L. Can you give me a little feedback on them ?
Are you satisfied with them ? What others had you considered ?
How and where did you have them mounted - What about the tweeter location - Kicker suggested trying the tweeter right in front of the mid driver. What did you set your tweeter level at ?
I have my MDP board, so I'm ready to cut a plate, just need to decide the speaker.
I have also been looking at the Polk MOMO 465's and Diamond Hex's. At this time I have the Polk DX7's in the doors, but am looking for an upgrade. For power I have the Kicker IX405D amp with front and rear bridged running the doors and the sub amp feeding (2) JL microsubs in parallel. The Kicker amp is very powerful. I have the gains turned way down and it is still super loud.
Thanks For Your Help !

Sorry about being late getting back to you but was busy making sub box and haven't been on line much. I'm very pleased with the Kickers. I'm trying out different locations before I start cutting into the door panels. Currently they are installed in the stock speaker location with the tweeter mounted on the mid driver ( set on the higest level for now). They sound is very much improved mover stock. May decide to install flush mounted on the door panel around the mirror area, if I can figure out how to take them apart. Any clues? I actually have had the Diamond Audio Hex series components in another truck and have to say that these sound much cleaner.
I've considered the kicker amp as well. My son has the 1000D and I haave to agree, they have a LOT of power. Good luck on your mods.

00'BlackLightning,
Thanks for the reply!
I am going to pick up the Kicker's today. As far as taking the tweeter off, I cannot explain it exactly, but did see how to do it on Kickers website. I looked at the copmonents in the store and the build quality appears to be top-notch
Moving the tweeter up may be the best as far as getting more separation and moving the highs up, but hurt the imaging. It is a trade-off, but I will probably put them right in front of the door handle.
Also, what I really liked about the Kicker amp was the high voltage input. I retained the factory HU and it really sounds good. I did not even have to use LOC's.
