Might sell the L for this inside???

I don't know guys, I really like the comfort and ride of this car. My dad has a s500 and I just like driveing it. So I went out and I drove one of these and I really liked it allot, I mean allot. I would get silver I think and definetly the 480, not the 320. 480's haul *** pretty good, nothing like the L, but good. Only problem is I would have to get ride of the L, I have no where to put it and what would I need it for.

Tell me what you guys think, my local dealer wants 59K for a 480 vert loaded, thats with the cooler AMG wheels too! I figured I could remove as much from the L as possible, hood, wheels, stereo, and then trade it in. I would hope to get 25 for my truck, but I doubt it.

With all the time and money you have put into your L, I would keep it and have more fun. Besides, in my opinion at least, your L looks better than the Benz.

Thumbs down

RTKILLA,
In my opinion I would keep the L. Mercedes are very comforatable and classy, but with all the work you have done to your L you would not want to get rid of it for 25K. Plus, I don't think you would want to be out driving your fancy new mercedes one day and get your doors blown off by a Lightning that cost half the price of yours and looks better doing it. Just my opinion.
If you do decide to sell your truck, I would suggest parting it out first Keep me in mind

You're joking right.........Well I would keep the L, it is a much cooler vehicle and I just love the L's.

My 2 cents and you need to do what is right for you.

Hard to beat the Kraut-can quality. Can you get a removable hard top for it? That would be the only way to own a vert in your neck of the woods. Winter bad, summer good.

Come on now Killa, you are telling us you would rather drive that than a L! You don't see an L everyday but you see one of those where ever you go. Those things are way to Trendy. If I were you I would keep the L. Your L is sick!

Cool

Killa, tell me you're kidding. Please. You are comparing raw American power with European refinement. Personally, I think the convertible looks like a chick ride. If I could afford to go German, it would have to be an M series. I think you might miss the fun of driving a vehicle as unique as the Lightning when you slip into obscurity behind the wheel of a common Mercedes Probably won't miss the legendary Ford build quality, though.

M5!

Get an M5 man... Low 13s stock, the 2000's are going for low $60's, and they look sooooooooo nice...

If you're serious about a Mercedes Convertible, hold off and and get the new AMG SLK32 Convertible. It'll be about the same cost, but the supercharged V6 puts out 349hp and Car and Driver just drove one to a 13.0 @ 110mph(!), and we all know how well they usually drive. That was actually .1 quicker than the 'Vette convertible they tested at the same time. Pretty damned impressive for a convertible, and a MB at that.

My boss is debating between the hardtop version (called the C32) or a 2002 Z06 'Vette. Real tough decisions to have to make, I'm tellin' ya.
