Thumbs up Ramps DIY

I came across this the other day. I figured some of you or know friends that have difficulty getting up regular ramps with lowered cars.

I always hated the way my F1 sidewalls bulge when I get my L up on ramps. I need wider ramps

I bought a set of ramps at WalMart that are for low clearance vehicles. They work fine with the Lightning and other low cars.

Thumbs up

Rhino Ramps. Rated to 12,000lbs for around $30 at most auto parts stores. Invaluable.

My dad and uncle made some ramps just like that, way back in the 70's... We still have 'em and use 'em all the time! And, if you spill oil one 'em it will just make 'em last longer! lol The only problem with them is that they weigh a ton if you use really good and wide wood. Also, if you make them like the one at Mustang World, you can put a little block (just a little bigger than the very top block) on the bottom at the very front and it will help to keep them from sliding when you drive up on 'em and it will give you an extra couple of inches of height without all of the added weight of another full length board.

Later,
Roger
