enjoyed a nice ride home on 294 to about Milwaukee ave.
I get on it a little And im cruising, listening for detonation and im like Trucks running good Tonite, I might as well have some fun.

So as im Cruising along at about *** And All of a Sudden Pop backFire Pop Run like ****, Stutter Hesitate and anything else it could do.

Get off 294 at my exit and i pull over And it sounds bad, So im listening And For Sure i Poped a Plug out.

So now im pissed off and Ranting to myself So i Drive home And look up the Fixes for it, Call a few dealers this morning, This was the run down.

Arlington Ford, Oh yea not a problem Drop it off ill get u on the emergency List Figure about 2 weeks.

Bredeman Ford, Sorry Its under warranty and u didnt buy it here unless your paying cash forget us looking at it.

Joe madden Ford, Yea swing buy well look at it 3 weeks.

Webb ford, Come on bye if i have the parts Ill get u on the road today, most likely a Coil pack They Do it all the time.


All 3 dealers I explaind What i think happened, I told them i think it blew out a plug, Webb was the only one that said swing it bye, if its simple ill get u outta here.

So i get there drop it off, head back to work So i call and hes like I was just gonna call u, U need a new pass side head u blew out The 3rd plug back, So Im tracking one down and u should be up by the weekend. So i said while your at it I read him my list he said not a problem.

So i asked Wheres my car being kept, o its inside torn down its not leaving the building. So i go look and sure enuff its in the corner inside outta the way Resting till i get her fired up again.



So well see how my experience Holds up, So far So Good.

 

If a Ford Dealer told you that they weren't going to fix it because you didn't buy from them, you need to get a hold of Ford Corporate! All dealers are required by Ford to service any Ford under warranty no matter where it was bought. The dealer you took it too sounds really great though!

the Service Writers Excuse was that They were So backed up with there Own customers that they can do that, I was like WHAT?

So i did try contacting Someone at ford and they were closed.

 

Ford Dealers are indepenently owned. They can refuse service to anyone they choose. Had it happen to me once. Took it to the regional rep and he said there is nothing he can do. They stand behind their dealers decision. Take it somewhere else. So i did. Hope all goes well for your experience. If they treat you right through the whole process take them a case of beer or a bottle of something. They will remember you and treat your truck right.

 

A dealer that pulls that crap pretty much destroys any new business. A dealer can easliy make a customer for life if they treat you right, regardless of whether you bought it there or not. Eventually you will buy a new vehicle....obviously not there!! Looks like that dealer has some priorities screwed up.

Is your truck a 01' model....I hope it's not a 01' because this would be the first case I've heard of for this year. My 2000 L did this at 22567 miles. (Same cylinder as yours).

i bought it in april with 27,4

Im just praying i found a good dealer, Ill be happy then
