air pressure-f-1s @ drag strip?

i run all four f-1s at 32 psi cold in my daily driving. when i go to the track for a little t&t, what psi should be best then--remembering the tires are 'hot' from driving to the track?

I lowered my psi to 17-18 at the track and dropped 3 tenths off my time. The first run was a 14.36 and the last one was a 14.02.

I wouldn,t go less than 30# the radial tire seems to work better when it has that amount of pressure in it. i believe it is because when we don't have enough air pressure the tire will want to ride on the edge of the tire and not on the entire surface of the tread..with slicks street et's ect. the side wall of the tire is very soft therefore when we spin them up the sidewalls flex up with the centrifigal motion allowing the entire tread surface to make full contact to the track surface but the hard sidewalls of the "stock" radial won't let the same results happen...so i believe you should keep the tire no less than 30# so you make full contact to the track........JL

35 lbs front and 30 rear for me, on F1s.

I agree w/ JL, and would not run the F1s < 28-30 lbs

25 to 30 IMHO. Experiement there. Anything less and you're killing your tires.

Leave 'em alone. The 32 cold, which is probably 34-36 after driving to the track, is just fine. Best 60' of 1.930.

Cool

I dropped mine to 30# when I ran on stock tires and to tell you the truth, I didn't notice much difference. IMO, less than 25# is a waste. Technique is much more important than tire pressure when it comes to radials. Ask someone like Moonshine that can launch on F-1s for a few tips. I personally don't have enough finess to do it well.

30 psi in the rears and maybe 35-40 in the front for a bit less rolling resistance?? Sounds good anyway. 1.95 60's
