2000 Lightning transmission ??????

2000 Lightning transmission ??????

would a 4r100 from a 2 wheel drive powerstroke diesel fit and work in a lightning.. I know the gear ratios are the same.... my trans is making noise and my buddy has a powerstroke one laying around and he said he would give it to me while I get my stock one built up.... any info would help thanks

I know that all internals can be swapped, the only thing I'm not sure of, even though I've had my trans out is if the bellhousing needs to be swapped or can be swapped. Other than that I'd assume there should be no issues.

the diesel and the gasoline 4r100's use different bellhousing bolt patterns...

Torque converter is different as well.
