no lowering shackles

Has any L owner changed the complete suspension on their trucks with the kit from Hotchkiss? This is my new game plan, as want the whole deal and want it done right. I may even travel to the LA area(CALEEEEEEE) to get it done at the Hotchkiss shop. I am just checking to see if anybody has had any experience with this kit.
Thanks Mark.

Many have used the Hotchkis TVS system, its probably the best (and most used) overall suspension. The only complaints ove heard of is that its a lil stiff in the rear.. Nothing that a set of adjustable QA1 shocks couldnt cure. OR maybe some SOCAL speedshop shock extenders for the stock shocks for a cheaper fix.

The reason it doesnt have shackles is that it comes with rear leafs instead.

If you search L forums, you will definitely findalot about the kit.

hotchkis system

I have been in contact with Hotchkis and the best kit comes with new bilstein shocks to compensate for the lowering of the truck. The complete kit is big money and won't happen right away for me, but it will happen. I just have to solve my 2 other problems first. Clunking and hicupping.
Thanks Mark.

Mark,

I just installed the Hotchkis kit on my truck. I went with the new bilsteins all the way around......I am just waiting on the front and rear sway bars, cause Hotchkis was out of stock.

It rides great. It feels a lot more aggressive and fun. Feel free to PM me with any questions..

I forgot to add: I also have a line on an install shop that Hotchkis recommended directly. He's in the same city (Santa Fe Springs) as they are......

PM me and I will send you my phone number

Fuelonempty is correct, the only complaint I've ever heard is about the stiffness in the rear

but the handling is much much better than stock
