I was just wanting to know if the 99's came with the overhead console? The truck I have now just has two sun visors. Is the plug for the compass/temp display already there if I wanted to put this in? Any info would be appreciated.

 

no they didn't come with the overhead console from the factory

but if you want to appear stock then leave he upper console out of it since the '99-'00 trucks didn't come with 'em and the roof lines are different from '01-up

 

Thanks for your time! I've decided to leave it out. I'm now in the hunt for a driver side mirror due to mine being cracked. I'm also looking to replace the hitch that was taken off the truck before I got it.

 

If you do decide to do the console, you will have to swap visors also for the two price ones.

Make sure the intercooler recall was done on your truck. This is something that most buyers today forget about. This affected just 99/00 Lightings and it was an issue that allowed coolant to pass through the engine. For whatever reason, there are still trucks out there that never had this done. If it wasn't leaky, it will be a leaker at some point. This was a design flaw and was corrected on 2001-up trucks.

Also, no, there is no overhead wiring in your ceiling. Also, the roof line NEVER changed on Lightnings from 99-04.
