How to identify pcm/ecu

Found a pcm in the garage. Stepdad used to own a lightning, I'm attempting to figure out if that's what it's from. Can anyone tell me how to identify it? It was made by Standard Electronics, and they call it an "electronics system processor." A small code on it says SMB-2E and theres a serial number. Any ideas?
Thanks for any help anyone can give!
