stage 3 cam questions

hey guys, i have a few questions and was hoping i could get some input. i am the proud new owner of a 2002 lightning. stock everything. i love the way a cammed motor exhaust sounds, that chopping rumble, like it wants to stall. my question is how do i make my truck sound like that? can i get that by installing just cams? or are other items needed? pleae help. thanks in advance..

if you install cams you'll need a tune and valve springs at the very minimum

you can try long tube headers and an H-pipe

Adding stage III cams will give you the sound you are looking for but will need to change the valve springs and tune. You will also see a drop in boost and low RPM response. Just remember, the right combination of parts to get the end result you are looking for.
