Unhappy Stop mileage from adding up!!!

I want the mileage on my truck to stop adding up, my friend unplugged something on his Silverado to stop the mileage from adding up but I dont know what to look for on my 2002 f150! Is there even something I can do to stop it??

Taking the sparkplugs out would do it but that seems like alot of work.

Disconnect the fuel line maybe?

This is one reason why I would not buy a used exotic -- like a Lightning for example.

what reason would you want the mileage to stop, unless your planning to rip some one off when you sell it.

look for the wires coming out of your ignition. cut 3 wires (a red, a green striped, and a blue) and it wont count miles no more....

I believe the ecm (pcm) now tracks mileage so when your buddy plugs his odometer back in it will re tally mileage the proper mileage shows in the main engine controller
