How well to Lightning Hold up.
Hello,
I'm currently looking at an '01 Lightning. Stock (I believe). With 100,000 miles on it.
Now I wanted a Lightning really badly but I keep losing my chances at catching a lower mileage Lightning (I'm working with some what of a limited window of time).
I was looking for a new automobile due to the fact my car has 139,000 miles on it. Still in good condition just needs a tune up, but I was ready to get something. Now I've driven this Lightning and it drives great. My main worry is the mileage. Because I know vehicles tend to try to get dicey after 100,000. So do Lightning tend to hole up well? What are some of the few first things that MIGHT go on a Lightning (meaning it's the nature of the beast ) first?
I'm trying to do my research before getting it.
Thanks.

That's a difficult question to answer sitting at a computer keyboard. You'd have to know the history of the vehicle. Driven reasonably and well maintained it should be ready for many more trouble free miles. Raced, abused and modified and all bets are off. If it stayed stock all those years and there is no sign of a chip being installed or induction mods, your chances are probably better that it wasn't raced regularly.
