Painted Side Steps

Hi everyone..

I have a black 99 Lightning. I was wondering if anyone knew of a place to purchase the side steps for our trucks smoothed & painted. (Or just smoothed & ready to paint)

I would also like to replace the plastic pieces around the back bumper as well as the frame around the back window in time..

Thanks for the help

I'm am anti-black plastic. The smooth side steps, roll pan, and cowl are done. Now there is only the strip on the bottom of tailgate, the tailgate handle its self, and that annoyingly constantly discolored trim around the rear window.

I'm figuring to get rid of those I'll have to pull the handle and fab the strip on the tailgate, but I really don't know what to do with the trim around the rear window. Has anyone done anything with it? Painted? Fabricated? If you painted it what products did you use, a.k.a what kind of plastic is it. I have limited painting knowledge but I recall there are roughly 5 kinds of plastic and one of the five use a different adherent/pre-coat.

Any help would be great.

My Work in progress.
