I am changing my tranny fluid and I see the mercon/ dexron III is not available. What are you guys using?

Ford has recommended Mercon V for all vehicles for the past eight years, but most Fords on the road including our lightnings continued to be serviced by the discontinued Mercon/Dexron lll now called ATF up until a year ago.....but now all Fords run Mercon V.

Mercon V, is a far better product then mercon/ dexron III and more closely resembles the factory-fill ATF which Ford has used for over eight years says Ford.
