Remove & replace supercharger on eaton
??Removing supercharger snout, I have never removed snout should't be to much of a job. Needs to be machined down so i can run smaller pulley. Are they a way this can be done with snout still on supercharger i could tape up the shaft so it doesn't get damaged> what kind of tool could i use to machine snout down i am not much of a mechanic knowledge of tools is limited. thanks for any help

Yes, you can machine it while it's on the truck as it doesn't take much to clear a 2.6 or 2.7 pulley. Nothing larger will require machining and sometimes even a 2.7 will clear w/o machining. The whole snout is pretty easy to remove though but you will loose the oil. Just put a towel underneath to catch the oil if you go that route. The SC oil you can get from most any Chevy dealer for cheap. btw, I'm pretty sure there is no gasket. GL
Why not just install a lower pulley? When i bought my blower it had a 2.65 pulley on it, the snout is machined. I removed it installed a stock pulley and installed a 4# lower. Less belt slipping also!
