Tuning/ Setting DiabloSport mafia????
Just finish a 17psi setup, all i got left is the hardest part, the tuning... I'm using a Predator with a tune from JLP, I'm also installing the Mafia .. Now as far as i understood, the Mafia is set depending on the tune???
Ok, thanks for the tip, now other than the Predator and the Mafia would you guys recommend anything else to try and keep the truck as safe as possible with this setup??? (stock short block)
I'm running 8# lower, 2.7 upper, long tubes, predator/ mafia tuning, shift kit, accufab, intercooler, with dual 255 pumps...

Well, i have a 6# lower with the 2.7 upper on a street tune for everyday driving, the 17# setup is for the track with a race tune, but i didn't think of a A/F gauge, that makes total sense.. That will defenatly make me feel better about this setup cause i know i'm pushing it with the stock short block... Which A/F gauge would you recommend that works the most accurate??

I would need to go up north to find a shop/ dyno that is calibrated to specs and that reads accurate.. You guys know much more than all performance shops down here in miami... These guys down here are just after the money and don't care if the truck runs good, safe, or anything.... That's why i'm trying to do all my self including the tuning... But i think Ed's advise will work or at least help getting the A/F tuned to specs... Even dough JLP's tune should have left the A/F pretty close to where it should be. The truck runs great on the street tune, it's the race tune 17# that i'm scared of.
Also, have you guys ever thought/ heard about DOHC heads on our motors??? Sometime from now i'm planning on getting a JLP short block and have been thinking what heads to use.. I heard DOHC heads could be adapted and that give better high rpm HP??

If you do a "search" on here and on NLOC forums, you'll find quite a bit of info on "dohc engines conversions" There's no easy way to do this and it's very expensive.
It's risky for a vendor to "create" a "mail tune" for an engine at 17psi and I'd guess many will be reluctant to do so unless you "data log" very carefully and send them the results until they can create a tune for "you."
