Steal My Lightning

Heh, gang, perhaps you can help. I am an ole guy in his 60's I have a 2000 Lightning, primed ready to paint, new engine and blower. The thing suffers from preignition. My wife and I got a divorce, I am looking to retire and move to property I have in the mountains. I need a diesel, "pre" powerstroke 4x4.

Do you know of anyone interested? I am close to San Diego. Someone can make some money on this, I am tired and time is running out.

My cell is 760-579-9822....the orginal miles is UNDER 40,000 miles, my name is Leon...thanks for any help.

Thanks for your replies, yes, I would trade for something like you mentioned if it has a 7.3 engine and perhaps a little cash depending on the 4x4 condition, keep in mind the Lightning has a new engine and blower. If the 4x4 was like a 94 1/2, the last year they produced the mechanical injection diesel then we could talk an even trade.

The other question--how much? To be honest I really have'nt had a chance to think about it since I have had so many other issues going. Something fair to both parties, HOWEVER, I will say whom ever gets it will walk away with a heck of a deal. I wanted to finish the truck, put a paint job on it and sell it for a good nickel, but time has runout on me and I need to get moving and move my stuff to Santa fe by year end, so i need to get another truck soon.

Let me hear from you--more questions?

Can you ball park what it might be worth, cash only no trade?

My brother in law is a mechanic and owns his own shop so I would assume he can fix whatever the problem is. Sounds like a cool truck to get running.

But I hate to waste your time if it is completly out of my means.

Answers: 1) everything is stock, no mods--ready for you to do what ever you wish.
2) price, have to think about it--right now, next couple of weeks: Sept 26-Oct 10th pretty reasonable, otherwise I will begin working on it, take to Danny Swanson and the price will better than double, ++.

I would say 'right now', next two weeks around $4K.

guys I'm pretty sure it's not driveable and with it having detonation issues I wouldn't drive it anyway.

however with some pictures posted it might be worth the time to trailer back to Texas

If I didn't already have one I would help you out, as is though I can't afford to by the same exact truck I already have. Ill let all my friends that are always asking to buy mine though about your situation.

Hopefully you will be able to find someone who can make a deal that will be fair for both of you.
