lowering questions

hey guys, ive been thinking about lowering the L, and i love the aggressive stance of stock lightning,(slightly higher in the rear) and im trying to decide when i finally lower it, should i drop it so its even and level to the ground so that it looks good with rims if i decide to do that later on, or keep it slightly higher in the back, what have you guys done?

It's a personal preference. Personally, I like a slight rake on a truck...not a car though.

When i bought my truck it had already been lowered level almost 6 in the back, I raised it 2 inches, looks better but still a little low. has a little bit of a rake now.

I'm with you on this one. A slight rake looks very sick. I have the Hotchkis TVS as do may Lightning owners, and it performs well and leaves about 1 inch of rake. I think the drop is 2" front and 3" rear. The TVS will only lower an L 1"f 2"r if memory serves. Check out the Hotchkis site. Pics of my black '98 flare can be seen in my gallery.

Good luck and post pics when you lower that beast.

I agree with the above, slight rake, but not too much

quick quest?

When you put shackles do you have to get it aligned in the back? Im thinking of putting them on my 02 L.

Nothing to align in the back...you could check the pinion angle but I doubt shackles are going to effect that too much.

Put them on and let it rip.
