Smile New Lightning Owner

Driving the Lightning is the most fun you can have with your clothes on !! She was born on 4-19-01 and I picked her up at the dealer on 6-15-01 with only 6 miles showing. Best money I ever spent. Every day you drive this truck, adds a day to your life!!
This site and this message board has all the Lightning information I'll need in the future, so how is the best way (in priority plz) to improve performance and looks and stay under a grand?
Thanks in advance.

Cool

Welcome to the Lightning family. And you did pick the best color. LOL. Your first mod should/has to be the air box. Take your time, break the motor in slowly and enjoy!

Welcome to the club, ain't these trucks awsome.

The Best Bang Fot The Buck Mod no question is a chip/filter. I have the JDM chip and love it, but you can't go wrong with Sal's(PSP) or JohnnyLightnings chip either. The next best mod is the lower pully. Then some traction bars.

You can do all three for under a grand.

01SilverL-

Congratulations on your new purchase. The first thing I would do would be to order a 4-Way flip chip & filter - I use a PSP chip. I would then order a lower pulley. Then I would get ready to have fun!!!!!!

Good Luck!
