Question TIRE QUESTION!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just had a blow out coming to work. I've got just under 2K miles on the odometer....Are these tires covered in ANY way considering mileage and treadwear by Ford?

The tires are covered by Goodyear. Look in your owners manual and there should be a tire warranty slip.

I received a notice regarding my 2001 L that the tire warranty was now being covered by Ford. I believe this is in light of the Exploder case.

Question

Will they give me a new tire, or will they just patch it if possible? I'm concerned because the tires lose it's speed rating when repaired.

They aint gonna do either. It's a manufactering defect warranty... not a road hazard warranty.

So if the tread split off, or a chuck of the bead is missing, or something like that, they'll cover it. If its a hole in the tire... that was your fault (for driving over a nail).

(Unless your's came with a road hazzard warrenty... then never mind...)

Cool

With ALL the publicity that Ford has been getting with the firestones, I would go to the dealer and ask them to replace my tire. If they say no, ask to speak to the service manager, if he says no, speak with the factory rep. The worse they can do is say no. And what did it cost you?

Takeit to your dealer. My wife had a tire go down on her Honda (don't ask) anyway the tire company Firestone(haha) would not replace under warranty so we calledthe dealer hoping they would"lean on the tire store". The dealer said to bring it in and gave her a new tire. That wasHanda dealer but they wanted to keep customers happy so maybe your dealer will do the same.By the way yes I got the firebombs off and put on some BFGS.
