Heads Up: Bburago Lightning Models.
Based on the "How to get in touch with Bill Murray" thread, I did some up to date research on the scale models by Bburago of the Lightning.
According to the 2000 catalog, 3305 is red and 3345 is silver. This did not prove to be so and 3345 is black. Their supplement for 2001 is also incorrect. their website, www.Bburago.com , has the correct colors and one additional model that has some wierd graphics on it. I have never seen this model and no supplier that I use stocks it.
I have never been able to obtain a silver one and if anyone has, please let us know where they got it from. I will contact that supplier and try to solve the mystery.
As stated earlier, you can disassemble and repaint these models fairly easily. I have one painted in white (over black) with Hobbytown USA graphics on it to go with my RC clone of the real truck. Looks pretty good.

Firezap:
Thanks. What size is it and can you find the model number?
It is entirely possible that some did get made in Silver and then they changed to Black.
There are also some smaller 1/43 scale models out on Lightnings, but the detail is not as good as the large scale Bburago.
