Arizona L owners....
Do any of the Arizona L owners want to get together? I'm a "rookie" L owner (just got mine last month) and would like to meet any L owners in the Phoenix are if anyone is interested.

Always interested in meeting new Lightning owners. Its always a great time to come out to the track and run, except the only ones anymore seem to only be myself, Yoda, and modd69. If your not interested in the track it would be great to get together anyhow.

I can't believe it; I've already seen three L's in my Gilbert, AZ area:
A red one, identical to my own, but slower. A white one, who's driver is blind, and never sees me waving like a madman. A silver one w/ some big-arse tonneau, that I spied leaving the post office last night. MODS? HMMMM?! |

I'm headed to California for a week, but I'll check in with you guys when I get back, in case you haven't gotten together yet. Also, who's got the red Gen 2 that heads north on I-17 every afternoon about 3:30 headed towards Anthem?

Pavillions would be cool. I've tried numerous times, but nobody would go--maybe nobody likes me, boohoo.
I'm not sure that I can do this Saturday as I will be coming back from New Mexico picking up a boat. What time would everyone get there if you go this Sat? When I would go, I would usually arrive about 5:30 - 6:00. |
how bout Sat 14?? that gives eveyone a week to make time.

Change of plans for me, not going out of town this week, but instead next week. This saturday would be great.

I unfortunately will not be able to make it. On Sunday June 24th I ended up going off a cliff near Tortilla Flats (Canyon Lake) on my CBR1000. Fortunately I was wearing ALL of my protective gear (helmet, jacket, gloves, boots), but I still managed to receive several broken ribs, a small 6x6 inch section of road rash on my left loin, and bruises over most of my body. I definitely would have been killed if it wasn't for the exquisitely designed Arai Quantum/e helmet. I’m still recovering and expect to be out of action for the next several weeks (heck I haven’t even drove the L since then). Have fun and I hope to catch up with all of you in the fall.

That is the reason I got ride of my CBR600--I had too many near crashes and said I must part with it. Best wishes on a speedy recovery! |

On Sat how about meeting @ like Sweet Tomatoes or some restureant in the Pavalions aroung 4:30-5:00ish. I think cars show up around 5pm & start getting spots. Does this sound ok? lets geta show of hands as to who can make it! if anyone needs directions e-mail me @ quikbolt@uswest.net & I will tell you. Does this work for the poeple that can make it???? |

Thanks Peter and Don for the kind words and prayers. I was off of work for the first week, and have been back to work this week. My wife kindly gets up a 4:00am with me and helps me get ready for work. She even drives me to and from - but not in the Lightning - her Camry is a little more comfortable.

Dan, I will head out about 4-4:30ish, depends on when people want to meet, 5pm sounds good to get some grub, so I would leave about 4:30. Feel free to stop by my house, we will go toghter, Ill call you later on how to get to my house. I'm not sure when cars start showing up @ the pavalions to get spots, would eating @ 4:30 be better?? Peter, you might know more about that.
My wife will be tagging along also, so if you guys have wifes feel free to bring them also. |

Just wondering if any of you guys have done exhaust mods and if so what kind? I'm thinking about doing a mod but would like to see/hear what you guys may have done.....
