L8 APEX is right. The first time is the hardest. I spent three whole days the first time. My wife was beginning to grumble. I also agree using their car wash and Z6 after keeps the shine looking good and dirt doesn't collect on the truck as much. Let us know if you post some good strip times!

Zaino is great stuff. Discovered it for my wifes Camaro. If you follow their procedure (dawn wash, clay bar, Z1, Z2 or 5, Z6, 24hrs Z2/5, Z6, 24 hrs Z2, Z6) then the finish should stay until it is physically removed, such as with a clay bar or many, many washings. Then you start with Z1 again. Even if you only polish occasionaly, just the Z2 & Z6 steps should be sufficient.

Note that Zaino does not build up like a wax. There are people that talk about putting on dozens of coats and it just keeps getting better & better. I think they are missing the point a bit. Zaino (Z1/2/5) bonds with the clear coat, not itself. Thus, additional coats are to make sure you have an even layer (very thin, i.e. at the molecular level) all over the car. Z6 is actually a cleaner for the Z2 surface in order to remove anything that will make it optically less pure.

All this make sense? Bottom line is it works as well as any wax I have used at shining the car and seems to last a good long time. The funniest thing was when I first did Cindy's car. After the scond coat and I was just finishing up the Z6 I noticed a fly landing on the snout of her car (it figures, right?). Well it slid off the finish! Couldn't get any suction on those little feet, hah! I had noticed that the towels breezed over the finish but this was all the proof I needed. I also noted that that bugs washed off easier and so did the track prep on the rear end.

I haven't Zaino'd my Stang in almost 6 months, and it still looks and beads like I did it a week or so ago. Not to knock some of the other products out there, but I haven't ever seen anything that matches the shine and durability of Zaino. The first time is a p.i.t.a. if you do it correctly, but after that you'll never have to worry again.

If you have a good coat on your car, after washing it, try using a leaf blower to get all the water off. No contact, no beads, water just slides right off.

Talking ZAINO, ZAINO, AGHHHH! BUT BOY THE RESULTS

Well I put the sealer on (Z1) last Saturday and did the hood with Z2. It looked preet good so I finished the Z1 on the back and then Z2 the whole truck. Three trips acorss the front with wash, bug remover, and WD 40 and got most of the bugs off. Z2 the the front heavy. Man, truck looks like new. In fact better than new. When I got the truck I still couldn't see very well because my pupils were still dialated. Wonder how long this stuff last before you have to do it again. My truck sits outside.
Boy, I just know its gonna run faster tonite at the strip. They don't wax those nascars for nothin!!!

The first time is the hardest. Future z2 passes will be easier. Next time wipe off the stuff front to back on the hood and up and down on the sides and vertical panels it helps align the molucules?.. ANyway it works well. 2nd and 3rd coat improve the gloss again. It stays on pretty well I power washed mine and it stayed on but I recommend washing it with their soap. Stuff holds water beads like mad though. I squeege mine dry.

I think the reason for the linear application is to avoid swirls and to have it applied in the same direction as the body lines. I always go front to back, and side to side on the tailgate. Do the same when I wash it. My truck is over a year old and has no swirl marks at all.
