Angry WHAT A CROCK!!

In case some of you don't know I pick up my truck on Thursday the 14th of June. On the following Sunday(17th) my "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" light came on, so I called the dealer to schedule an appointment. They told me no appointments until after July 3rd! "What I've had this car less than a week!" So they schedule me on the 26th(Tuesday). I pick up my baby after work and as soon as I drove off, the fuggin light came back on. So, I flip a U-turn and tell the service manager. He says jokingly that I broke it, and that he would call me the following day to have me bring it in. So he calls me and tells me to drop it off on Thursday. I do this and he calls me around 4 pm and says my MAF meter needs to be replaced and the part won't be in until today. Ok I can deal. Calls me today...part won't be in until Monday. "Do you want me to put it back together so you can drive it this weekend?" Hells yeah! I think after the few times we've talked he understands how bad withdrawl is. Anyway just hate getting the run around. They better wash it before I go pick it up tonight!!! By the way in case some of you don't know, Dealer is supposed to wash & vaccum after every service (except oil change). Says so in the SVT manual. Did I mention the little shelf thingy in the garage door opener holder was missing, and that they had to order that piece of *****!
What a joke. If I could I would take my truck to the Buick dealer across the street...Now there is a place that Knows about customer service!!! I get my GMC pick up serviced there cause my mom bought a 99 s/c REGAL GS. It is the bomb family car!
Just venting!

Personally I wouldn't want the dealership to wash my truck. You'd no doubt end up with scratched paint. They wouldn't take near the care they should. I wouldn't even let them wash mine when I picked it up new. You've seen who they hire to do that job at dealerships haven't you?

Dealers Suck!!

I took my last truck in for the free oil change they gave me when I bought the truck and they returned it to me with nice little scratches all along the fender where it meets the hood.

I told them and they said we did not do that. I told them you did and I would never be back and ford would be hereing from me.

I traded it in a few weeks ago on my new L and I bought at a different dealer and told my wife this truck is not going to the dealer for service unless the engine, trans or rearend go out.

I hate dealers they suck!!
Just venting also.
I hope you get your truck back soon and in good repair.

forget the wash job--for one thing, you know they're going to wash it in the sun...aghhhhh!

you are suppose to be given a loaner vehicle while your SVT L is 'tied up' also--in the book.

I know about the loaner, but I only work 10 minutes from my house, and we have 5 cars in all, so I figured it would be more of a hassel that anything.

Guess what?! They did it...they scratched my black beauty! It didn't surprise me, but I learned my lesson...I am the only person who will wash my truck ever again.
Also I took it back in this morning, hope they have the parts!

Thulsa-

Sorry to hear about all of your problems. Which dealer are you working with? Is it Fremont Ford?? Just want to know so that I don't deal with them. By the way, don't ever deal with Frontier Ford - you would not believe the way they left my wife's car - Grease all over the seats, etc........

Good luck,

Dave

Thulsa, sorry to hear about your dealer. Can you confirm it was Fremont? I wanna make sure to steer clear of them if so.

Dave, thanks for the word on Frontier Ford. That's the third negative i've heard about them.
