Talking New Best for the "Full Trim Club"

Everyone,

As some of you may know, I spent the day in NJ with JDM yesterday. Got the Precision torque converter installed, along with JDM's traction bars and some custom tuning.......

We went to E-Town for some track tuning:

First off...It was 87 degrees, w/85% humidity. The track was pretty slick too.

Full Trim all the way, on the ET Streets with only the spare removed (Pro-Sport ON), and 93 octane......

Here is the best pass:

60 - 1.85
330 - 5.313
1/8 - 8.200
1/8 MPH - 83.01
1000 - 10.724
1/4 - 12.869
1/4 MPH - 104.83

I believe with the better traction at VMP, that 12.7's are very doable in Full Trim....

Also, I believe better weather will knock off at least another few tenths.....

My first pass was wicked with the converter. Launched at 1700..I heard the MT's spinning and then the truck lurched back and it was like being shot from a slingshot.

I raced a newer mustang and had him by 1.1 secs in the 1/8th and 1.4 in the quarter. At the lauch, I just shot by him like he was sitting there......

For those thinking of the converter, the precision is very streetable and definitely adds some serious throw to the track launch. This was the first time I had ever spun the MT's......

Need to practice...

Glad to hear you're spending that hard earned cash.

Did you do any dyno runs or just track tuning?

The weather and humidity has sucked the last week or so, anyhoo good ETs in the summer shall yield "blistering" times in the fall.

Thumbs up

Those look like some good times to me. Looks like you're starting to do some serious performance mods. Maybe you can come down to MIR in the fall for the big Ford weekend.
