Question L guys, what do your trucks weigh, what do they run?

Hi, another Ford guy here who is impressed with what the L's are now doing.
I'm having a discussion with some LS1.com guys who think Ford's claims are BS. Here it is...<<<Lightning discussion>>>
I've seen plenty of them run (Spiro...I was pitted next to you at Cecil, black '95 GT, looks stock, running low-12's that night) and have no doubt about the '01 numbers.
Nice trucks, guys.
Later.

Spiro,
Yeah...I miss Cecil too. I moved to Jersey last year and haven't been back since then.
Atco seems decent, although they didn't have the track prepped well the times I was there. On ET Streets I was spinning hard in 3rd.
Anyway...glad to see your truck running so well. One of the guys on z28.com mentioned you (and the truck ) a few weeks ago and I confirmed it was you. I was surprised at hearing you were running 11.3's on the jug.
Long way since that first night on DR's, huh? lol.
Later.

All Lightning's tip the scales at close to 5000lbs. Why would anyone want to lie about that. I wish they did weigh more like 3900lbs because then we would be tapping 12's stock. Amazing vehicle for the weight. I had a 96Z28 with an ATI P600B w/ 3 core air/air intercooler and could only squeeze a 13.2 @ 107. The L pulled a 12.87 with just chip and filter.

New times w/ JL converter coming soon!

Cool

Maybe they can't believe it because we run pretty much right with them and weigh well over 1000 more lbs. Their thumb rules will tell them that's 100 HP. That's why they are so desperate to get our HP numbers up and our weight numbers down.

Reminds me of the posts that said no way can a chip and filtered lightning run 13.2

Some will never learn, don't understand torque and H.P. Maybe their dyno slips look like an inverted V so they don't understand H.P. over the useable rpm band.

How do you argue with someone who calls you names for handing him the wrong end of the rope after you just gave him both ends?
