2001 L w/2000 miles SMOKES @ Start up!
My new L W/ 2000 miles just started to smoke at almost every start up about 2 weeks ago.No bad noises no other complaints just that. I guess my only question's are is this BAD, and should I call my dealer?

I only have about 750 miles on my 2001 and it gives a little puff of smoke only on the cold mornings, like below 55 or so. If it is above that it does not and if I wait say till like 10 or 11 am and it has warmed up a bit outside it does not do it either.
I am not sure if it is a problem yet or if maybe it only does it when it is cold if maybe it just is the forged pistons and that extra gap between them and the cylinder wall when cold.
I am not sure someone also said maybe the pcv, but mine works fine.
Like I said it only does it once in awhile and so at this point I am not too woried.

My 2001 used to do it. I don't think it has anything to do with the valve guides.. They're brand new! That doesn't make any sense. I think it's the oil return from the valve cover back to the throttle body. Ingested oil puddles and gets sucked in (more so) at start up. I put the JDM oil fill breather filter n' chip mod on mine and have had not one puff-o-blue on start up since.. Just my experience!
